Master's Degree in Cybersecurity

The Master in Cybersecurity aims to provide advanced technical and scientific training in the area of cybersecurity, promoting the development of personal and interpersonal skills appropriate to work in a professional or academic context, namely:

• Conceive, design, and implement protection systems.
• Understand and apply the regulatory frameworks in force.
• Solve complex problems in cybersecurity and cyber defense.
• Perform experimental work using appropriate theoretical bases.
• Explore methodologies and techniques for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities and protection of services and systems.
• Promote technological progress in an academic and business context.
• Study, evaluate, and implement innovative ideas while conducting significant research, respecting the requirements imposed by the standards of quality, business, and academic integrity.

This Master in Cybersecurity is aligned, on the one hand, with the training offer provided by the University of Aveiro in the field of informatics, on the other, with the educational project of the Institution and, finally, with the national and European strategies in terms of cybersecurity, having as main objectives:

• Provide companies with senior executives qualified in the area of cybersecurity;
• Promote advanced training focused on innovation, development, and research in cybersecurity;
• Encourage young graduates in Informatic Engineering or similar to carry out research and development work with a view to obtaining a Master's degree;
• Encourage active workers to carry out training and advanced research, with a view to obtaining a Master's degree.

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering

The LEI offers a solid education in the basic sciences of Computer Engineering, with a combined emphasis on Software Engineering and Information Systems.
The objectives of this degree are structured along the lines of knowledge acquisition and application, critical analysis, effective communication and autonomous learning. The degree provides fundamental skills in software development tools and methodologies, in models and abstractions necessary for designing, implementing and using computer and information systems..
Through solid training in basic and specialized sciences, LEI provides its graduates with the necessary knowledge to cope with constant technological evolution, whether in industry or in master studies.
